Raechel Celeste Smith doesn't trust other bsl advocates, infighting again

Absolutely no compassion from this dispatcher guy. All he cares about is protecting the Pit. What a jerk. I would have hung up on him.

  • Amber A Maclin If you live in the city you have to report whether or not your fired you weapon. It's illegal to fire a gun in the city and not report it. That's why the dispatcher wants to know whether or not shot the dog.

  • Raechel Celeste Smith Wow... No offense, Amber, but I'm not surprised you wouldn't call out the dispatcher for his attitude. His attitude was disgusting and had zero care for the mauled dog. I know you heard it. Everyone else who commented on Youtube heard it. I guess the Pit getting shot after mauling another dog is your focus, though.

  • Raechel Celeste Smith And the guy of the mauled dog was asking for an officer to file a report the entire time. I know you heard that, too.

  • Amber A Maclin Because it's the law..and he didn't wait for the police. When I was attacked by a dog I called 911 and waited for the police to arrive and when they did arrive they shot the dog themselves as it charged them. If he had shot the dog he still would have reported it. Nothing wrong with self defense he had every right to defend his dogs but you still have to make a report. The dispatcher wanted to know if he had a gun or not and if he fired it.

  • Raechel Celeste Smith He even said he didn't shoot the dog..so.. When we're emotional and upset after witnessing our pet nearly getting brutally murdered, it's not that weird to vocally contemplate shooting the culprit. The officer was not consoling nor helpful to the man whose pet was a victim. He was talking down to the man and not once asked about his pet. Not once. He was rude without any attempt to be understanding in such a tragedy.

That dispatcher really pisses me off. What kind of dickhead is focused on you potentially shooting an ATTACKING PIT BULL instead of focusing on the real problem, which is that there's a PIT BULL attacking an innocent dog? I'm not a cop-hater, but some officers are so stupid and arrogant. That dispatcher reminded me of those cops that beat up old ladies because the woman didn't answer his questions correctly. It's hard to imagine that it would be illegal to have a handgun in KY, so what are they so concerned about? You're not allowed to kill a dog that's attacking your dog? Honestly, what's the world coming to? People want to protect pit bulls above all else. Nobody cares about the GOOD pets or the babies, children, adults, elderly, and even livestock that are being mauled and killed all the time by pit bulls. Get a clue, dispatcher. You suck at your job and your people skills are horrible. You obviously must not have a pet if you don't understand why this guy wanted to kill the dog. I hope your dog was okay, man. That's a horrible situation to be in.

  • Amber A Maclin Sadly with my experiences with EMS and officers once they here the words "shoot or gun" they become very hostile. When my husband said he was going to shoot the dog that came after me the police were hostile with him. He could have cared more. I guess he was upset he left the scene and they couldn't locate the dog. Hopefully he followed up and made a report of how the guy talked to him and showed the officers pictures of his dogs injuries.

  • Raechel Celeste Smith His attitude was in existence the second the guy called him, way before him mentioning "gun".

  • Raechel Celeste Smith Also, when he said "my dog was attacked", the dispatcher had ample time to ask about the severity and status of the pet's injuries. He failed to ever ask about the victim before any mention of shooting.

  • Raechel Celeste Smith Anyway, I'm going to bed, but Amber... the last time I directly "argued" with you in a thread was when you and that Anthony M. Ridge guy were being contrary toward me for no reason, and since then, I don't expect anything but odd responses. Just keepin' it real. Goodnight.

  • Amber A Maclin That's fine. I like being odd.

  • Raechel Celeste Smith "Odd" as in "sketchy", as in, I'm not sure I trust you since it seems 99% of your reactions are always to first point out OTHER wrong-doings in a Pit-crisis story, as though 2 wrongs make a right, and as an attempt to deflect. Just makes me wonder. You can't blame me.

  • Amber A Maclin My reaction is my reaction. I see things from all sides yes the dispatcher had an attitude but it came a little later on in the video and yes his concern was for public safety and not the dog that was attacked again I never said the man shouldn't have shot the dog if he had shot the dog because if I was in the same situation and it came down to it I'd shoot the dog. I don't expect you to trust me and neither am I offended by you not trusting me or thinking I'm sketchy that's your opinion. For I feel the same about anyone on the internet. Yes a lot of my responses aren't going to be the same as yours or anyone else's.
  • Raechel Celeste Smith Well, I wouldn't expect you to come out with it if you were, indeed, on the fence with Pits and just engaging in this group out of boredom, but your initial reaction is never empathetic toward the victim, nor does it reveal any genuine passion on the issue[s], in my opinion. It is hard to interpret honesty/lies over the internet, but... Well, my apologies in advance if you're not in cahoots with Anthony.
  • Amber A Maclin I blocked Anthony months ago btw because he falsely reported my husband's facebook profile and went on a racial rant in this group because he didn't like what he saw on my husbands personal fb page
  • Raechel Celeste Smith I blocked him for racism, too. Well, I deleted him; didn't block.
  • Amber A Maclin I suggest you block him, he's a stalker I know that much for sure. As far as my stance on Pits. I think vast majority of them should be neutered/spayed so their numbers will decrease and anyone who wishes to own them have a permit, liability insurance, secured yard and have inspections done by their city. I believe the reason for the attacks is because to many people own them and there are to many pit mixes out there. That's where I stand.
  • Raechel Celeste Smith "Secured yard" makes zero difference with a Pit. This is why if one is in my neighborhood, I can't enjoy neighborhood strolls. The 9 year old boy in my city who was mauled was charged at from a Pit who escaped from the home's front door upon the owner leaving. Many people own labs, but they aren't charging at people, unprovoked, killing. Just doesn't happen. It's not quantity that's the issue [although shelter dogs are getting too plentiful] but it's the breed at hand.

  • Lexy Libera He should've just shot the pit instead of wasting time calling the police. One less pit bull to worry about running loose

  • Raechel Celeste Smith I hope he did but just lied to the pompous dispatcher. That's what I'm thinking by the sound of it, you know?

  • Sarah Eaton No, the dispatcher only cares about the gun threat
  • Lexy Libera The satisfaction of killing the pit bull that attacked my dog would probably be the only driving force that would keep me calm on a call with that asshole of a dispatcher lol
  • Sonya Del Rio Cerezo This is nothing new with some cops. And the animal control officer who took my call about the pitbulls formerly on my property told me I was being over dramatic because the dogs had not bitten yet, I told her that's the whole point in calling you, so I can report aggressive behavior and prevent being injured or worse by the dogs. She said she would investigate it, but until it bites, there's nothing she can do. So I told her I would arm myself with bear mace & a legally purchased firearm. Screw that, my family's safety comes first.
